The ASF (Asymmetric Spinnaker Furling) is designed to reach in light winds and progressively wider angles to near running angles as wind speed increases. The sail trim at wider angles is facilitated by a high clew that provides for even control of the luff as the sheet is eased. Mid-girth is wider than a Cruising Code Zero (CCZ) but narrower than an all-purpose Asymmetric Spinnaker (ASP) with the reduced mid-girth facilitating both reaching and furling.
